One of a Kind Treasures: February Wrap-Up and the Start of March.

Here is the next update. We finished off the month of February and are enjoying the wonderful month of March so far. Here's what we've been up to:

Tuesday, February 21st we had Alex here all day. Livy came over to be with us for awhile too. We spent a little time outside and enjoyed the mild weather.

We also met Quinn and his mom, Missy. Quinn is one of Parker's little friends and he will be joining on Tuesdays (and eventually Friday's) starting in March. He sure is a cutie and we are looking forward to having him here!

Wednesday, February 22nd, it was just Maggie and Alex here for the day. I just snapped these two pictures of Maggie that morning:

Thursday, February 23rd, we had Alex, Maggie and Parker all here for the day. It was another mild winter day so we spent more time outside.

Friday, February 24th, it was the same three children here. Alex was at preschool and so it was just the girls in the morning. They had fun playing together as you can see:

Later, the girls had fun together playing with the last of the Valentines Day balloons.

Tuesday, February 28th, Alex and Parker were here for the day. Alex enjoyed reading some Dr. Seuss books while snuggled in on the love seat during quiet time.

Then once again, we enjoyed some time outside playing in the snow.

Wednesday, February 29th, we had a Leap Day snowstorm! Many of the area schools closed for the day. Alex and Livy who were both supposed to be here that day ended up staying home. That made Maggie the only one here for the day. It was quiet around here but I think Maggie enjoyed my undivided attention for the day. Her favorite activity was the stacking cups.

Thursday, March 1st, we had Alex, Maggie and Parker all back together once again. We spent part of the morning reading books--always a favorite with the children.

Later, Livy came over for a few hours too. She enjoyed dancing with Alex and Parker.

Later that afternoon, Alex and Parker danced to a song that we all like to listen to. I wanted to share this little video clip of the two of them singing and dancing to the song. It's so cute!!!

They love dancing to this song and want to hear it over and over again. Alex knows all of the words. It surprised me to find just how many of the words Parker remembers too! They both sure do love music!

Friday, March 2nd, Alex, Luke and Drew were here. We also had Quinn here for a short drop-in visit just to see how he would do. He did great considering he's never been here before. He had a lot of fun with the other boys.

Later that afternoon, Alex, Drew and Luke celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday. We read The Cat In The Hat and made our own hats to match!

The boys had a fantastic time with the next activity we did. They got to pick out several items that they tried to balance on their heads (just like in the book)! Oh what fun they had!!!
