One of a Kind Treasures: October 2011

Welcome Autumn! Fall is finally in the air! Although part of September and the beginning of October sometimes didn't feel like it! We lucked out this year and enjoyed some summer-like weather well into October. It was VERY nice while it lasted! The weather is cold these days so it looks funny to see the short sleeves and shorts in the beginning pictures of this post!

September is one of my favorite months of the year. It's time to settle back into the routine of things after an always busy (but fun-filled) summer. I always miss the older children as they head back to school but know I will see them again on some of those school days off.

This September was another busy month, mostly because of my re-licencing paperwork and inspection. Thanks to all of you parents for your help with getting immunization records (and all other forms needed) updated and returned to me in a timely matter. Thankfully, the inspection is over and once again, I passed with flying colors! Yay!

The month of September began on a Thursday. It was a warm day for Maggie and Naomie so we enjoyed most of our day indoors-in the air conditioning. I didn't get any pictures of Maggie but did snap a couple of Naomie that day.

Friday, September 2nd, we were happy to have Caden back with us one last time before school started again. He and Parker were here for the afternoon. Maggie and Naomie were here for the day too.

Tuesday, September 6th was a quiet day with just Parker here for the day. She had the best time playing with an empty shoe box I had pulled out to recycle. Sometimes the best toys are free! She played with that box for a couple of hours! She stood on top of it, she carried it around and she opened it up and put her toys in it! She even sat in it! Who knew an old cardboard box could be so much fun!

Later that afternoon, we went for a walk with Andrew since it was such a beautiful day!

Wednesday, September 7th was another quiet day with just Maggie here. She loves her tummy time now but her favorite place to be is in the walker. She likes being able to sit up and not miss anything that might be going on around her. She likes the tray on the walker and is getting so good at reaching for the toys and getting them up to her mouth to chew on!

Thursday, September 8th, we had Maggie here all day, Parker for the afternoon and we had a special visit (for a few hours) from Luke!

Friday, September 9th was girl's day with Maggie here all day and Parker for the afternoon. I pulled out the Cinderella dress for Parker to try on. She was so adorable in it! Don't you think?!

Tuesday, September 13th was a fun day. Parker and Maggie were here for the day and we were so happy to welcome Owen back for a quick (couple hour) visit that afternoon. He is growing up fast! We got to spend some time reading stories that afternoon while the girls took their naps. It was so nice to have Owen here again. He is such a fun boy!

Wednesday, September 14th brought Maggie and Naomie for the day. We also welcomed for the first time, Liam, Owens little brother (you sure can see the resemblance to his big brother!). Liam spent the morning with us and was such a happy, good baby! He is absolutely adorable!!! He stole my heart almost immediately with his charming smile! Such a cutie!

Later that afternoon we had a special visit from my parents, otherwise known as, Mamah and Papa. Mamah held Maggie and Papa enjoyed some time with Naomie.

Thursday, September 16th, Maggie was here just in the morning and Parker just for the afternoon. I took just one picture that day. It was in the afternoon when Parker was outside.

Friday, September 16th, Naomie was here for the whole day along with my niece Annemarie. I think Naomie liked having her Auntie here for the day. Parker was also here for the afternoon.

Tuesday, September 20th, Parker was the only one here for the day. The highlight of her day was coloring! She had a blast coloring her Elmo color sheets!

Wednesday, the 21st, Maggie was the only one here for the day. On Thursday, the 22nd, it was Maggie once again and Jackson came over for the day also! Maggie loved sitting in the high chair.
Those teeth must be just about ready to pop through because she's chewing on anything she can get near her mouth these days!

Jackson's favorite part of our day was story time. We read a lot of different stories during Maggie's nap time. I think his favorite though was a lift the flap book all about the farm. He spent the most time with that book lifting each of the flaps and looking at the pictures underneath.

Friday, September 23rd, was Alex's birthday. Happy Birthday Alex! We have missed having him here and are looking forward to when he comes back again in October! It was girl's day here with visits from Maggie, Naomie and Parker.

Tuesday, September 27th, Parker was here for the day and Wednesday the 28th, it was just Maggie here. Unfortunately, my camera had dead batteries. I also had my re-licencing inspection on the 28th so that didn't leave much time for pictures anyway (sorry).

Thursday, September 29th, Maggie and Parker were here all day. Livy came to visit for part of the day too! It was nice to have her back again!

I finally switched out the toys on the train table with the farm set again. It's always a popular place for the little ones to play.

Finally, on Friday, September 30, we ended the month with Naomie, Maggie and Parker all here for the day. Parker and Naomie had fun playing together. Naomie started and finished the month of September right here with us! It was fun having her here.
