May, Mother's Day and More!

Well, here we are, over halfway through the month of May (already)!  Just one full week left of this month.  Summer vacation is just around the corner now!  There are lots of pictures to share with you already this month. This post will bring us through the first two weeks of May.

The weather has finally warmed up and we can now play outside most days without wearing our jackets! Yay!  Now we just need the sun to shine a little more and allow things to dry out!  It's been a cold, rainy Spring so far!  This week looks like we may have a few days in a row of sunshine and nice weather.  We are all looking forward to being outside and enjoying the fresh air after what seemed like such a long, cold winter!

We have added a couple of new outdoor toys to play with for this summer (thanks to some good deals at a couple of garage sales).  So far this month, we've had visits from Drew and Luke, Shelby, Livy (and Baylee), and even a visit from Rocco.  The children were excited to be able to make special gifts for their mothers for Mother's Day too!

On Tuesday, May 3rd, it was a kind of quiet around here. Livy came over for her usual Tuesday visit.  We played outside for most of the morning since it was so nice out.

Look who's having fun on the slide.

On Wednesday, May 4th, Parker was here for the whole day. Alex got here just before lunch and a little after lunchtime, Rocco got to come over and spend the afternoon playing with Alex.
Parker loves the little bunny, but where did it go?
Looks like she found it!
Rocco and Alex had fun playing dress-up:
Rocco the pirate!
Aren't they cute?
Rocco got to work on his Mother's Day gift for his mom while Alex and Parker were resting.
Rocco proudly shows the gift he made for his mother.
Rocco played with the trains during quiet time.
Shelby got to come over and play with us for a short time that afternoon too.  She loved being able to see Parker.

Biker Buddies!
Parker loves to try climbing up the slide.
She loved collecting pine cones.
Thursday, May 5th was a busy day.  Alex was here all day, Jackson for most of the day, Parker was here for the afternoon, and Luke and Drew both arrived in the afternoon at different times.  It was hard to try and get everybody to be able to make their Mother's Day gifts (post-it note holders) with everyone coming at different times and on different schedules but we somehow managed!
Alex was so proud that he had written his name
and "Mom" on his gift.
Jackson was so excited to have a gift for his "friend, Mom"!
Luke wrote his name and drew a
rocket and boat on his mom's present.
Drew did a beautiful job decorating a mug for his mom.
Enjoying the afternoon outdoors. (Check out Shelby's pose!)
Friday, May 6th was quiet the first part of the day since Parker came in the late morning.  We enjoyed some time outside.  Her favorite thing was putting the sunglasses on and then taking them off again right away.  On and off, on and off they went!
Parker (briefly) wearing the sunglasses.
Parker loves playing with the ball.
When Parker's mom came to pick her up, she surprised me with a beautiful hanging plant for Mother's Day.  Thank you again, Jenny.  I love it!
On Tuesday, May 10th, Parker was here all day, Livy was here for several hours and Jackson came for the whole day.  We were inside for a bit in the morning and then we got to play outside too.
Jackson enjoys the My First Leap Pad.
Livy is excited to go outside and play.

Parker loves the playhouse!
Going up...going down.
Fun for all!

Sleepy little girl.
Everybody loves the puzzles.
Wednesday, May 11th: We had Alex, Drew and Luke here for the afternoon.  We enjoyed most of the time outside.  Alex and Luke enjoyed playing on the Little Tike's roller coaster. Drew had fun with Andrew shooting hoops.
Alex and Luke take turns seeing who can go farther.

Action shot-and it went in!
Thursday, May 12th.
Alex was here all day and Livy was over for the morning.  Alex was so excited to be able to play with my Mother's Day gift ( I received a 1970's Fisher Price Little People castle play set-I used to play with one that my grandparents had at their house when I was a little girl and I had always had wanted one of my own).  He knew that it was a very special toy and he played with it very gently.  I was so proud of him.
Alex was so excited to play with the castle set.
One of his favorite features is the trap door to the dungeon.
Another sleepy little girl.
Livy is happy and wide awake after her nap.
Friday, May 13th:
Baylee were here for about half a day.  Rainy weather kept us indoors so we played downstairs.
Baylee came over to play already all dressed-up!
Parker loves the books (even if they are upside-down).
Busy matching shapes.
 Silly Faces:
Parker shows her silly face.
Livy's silly face.
Baylee, Drew and Luke's silly faces!
Later that afternoon, when Andrew got home from school, he played a Disney board game with Drew and Luke.  They all had fun playing the game.

Well, this brings us through the first half of May.  See!  I told you I took lots of pictures!  I'm working hard to try to stay caught up now with the rest of the pictures.  My goal is to have two post updates per month.  Anything more than that will be a bonus!  Thank you for being so patient with me!  Bye for now!

April Wrap-up (in May)

Here's the latest update for you (sorry it's so late-once again).  I wanted to get these pictures from April posted so you would have something new to see!  There have been so many pictures I've taken lately and my weekends (and Monday's) have been very busy these last few months.  I haven't had the time to sit down and get everything downloaded, edited and finally posted.  Here are the pictures from the rest of April.  I hope you enjoy them.

There are already quite a few pictures for the month of May that are still sitting in my camera.  This weekend is calling for rain and for once, I don't have any first communions, bridal showers, meetings, family gatherings, etc. that I need to attend.  I'm planning on spending a major portion of my weekend dedicated to day care related tasks (like blog updates, taxes and related paperwork, and general organizing of curriculum, toys and other items).  I'm hoping to get the blog all caught up once again!  Wish me luck!

Here's the April wrap-up (in May):

This picture was taken on April 19th.  Livy and Parker had a great time together (as they always do), especially playing in the playhouse.  They really are the cutest playmates and really enjoy their time together!
Thursday, April 21st:
Parker and Jackson spent the morning together and Alex was here for the afternoon.  Shelby got to be here for a little while after school too.  The popular toy of the day was the Fisher Price camera.  Jackson was having fun playing with the camera and looking at the pictures and taking pictures of me.  So, Parker had to see what the all the fuss was about and try it out for herself.

Jackson takes a picture of me.
Parker (tries) taking a picture too!
Hey, where did everyone go?
Parker looks on as Jackson plays with his favorite Toy Story toys.
Later that afternoon, I got a couple of pictures of everyone together while sitting on the couch.
Happy children: Jackson, Alex, Shelby and Parker.

Andrew returns from school and joins the group.
Tuesday, April 26th:
Girls Day (again).  Parker and Livy enjoyed another fun-filled day together.  Telephones were the favorite toy of the morning.
Parker says, "Livy, answer your phone.  I'm calling you."
Livy answers her phone (she's holding it behind her head).

Awww...Parker hugs her two baby dolls!
Isn't this fun?

Adorable!
Friday, April 29th:
Jackson and Parker were both here for the afternoon.

Hanging out on the slide.
The first half of May brought visits from Rocco, Drew and Luke and a few quick afternoon visits from Shelby.  Stay tuned for the next update (hopefully soon!).
