Havin' Fun!

This last week was just one of those fun weeks that just fly by! We continued on with our Pond theme and talked about frogs.

For arts and crafts, the boys made a book about pond life.

Parker's favorite place to be is in the walker. She is upright and can see everything that happens all around her. She loves to watch her cousin Kiera.

Kiera is on the verge of crawling...she's sooo close to figuring it out!

On Friday morning, before it got too hot, Rocco and Kiera got to go to the park.

I couldn't resist adding this pic. Her expression is so cute! Check out those two bottom teeth!

Welcome Back Kiera!

This last week we were so happy to be able to welcome back our Little Kiera on a full time basis. It is so nice to have her back with us again! Having both girls here at the same time kept me quite busy but we are already adjusting into more of a regular routine. Both of the girls were suffering with cold-like symptoms with stuffy noses. It's so much harder to drink out of those bottles when your nose is plugged up! What little troopers they both were!

Drew and Luke came over for a visit this week. Aren't they getting big?

The weather was great with cooler mornings and then the afternoons warming up nicely. We were able to enjoy some nice outside time this week. The boys sure love their time on the cars and bikes.

Alex and Rocco enjoyed playing in the sand table for the first time this season.

Kiera loves to sit in the stroller and watch the boys in action.

Parker really likes being outside whenever she can too!

We continued our "Down by the Pond" theme this week and made lily pads for our craft project. I think they turned out really cute!

Friday Fun!!!

We were all so happy on Friday to see the sunshine (and some warmer temperatures) finally return! It was hard for the kids to be stuck in the house for most of the cold, wet, miserable week. Andrew had Friday off from school and it was so nice to have him home. He loves to be with the children and looks forward to this summer when he can be home to play with them all day. The children all love him too! Here we are enjoying a morning walk.

Friday we also had a special guest with us. My cousin Crystal just had identical twin girls on Wednesday. Since Crystal was still in the hospital, I got to take care of her little 1 1/2 year old daughter Isabelle for the day. She is such a darling little girl!

I loved having her here for the day. She really liked being around the boys. We played on the riding toys in the driveway. She sure loved that car!

This week during our pond theme, we talked mostly about ducks. We read One Duck Stuck which was a favorite for the boys. I love how they chime in with the rhymes at all the appropriate times!
Our craft project was a cute little duck swimming in the pond. The boys enjoyed making them.

This week Parker tried out the exersaucer and she loved it. I love to see how much she grows and learns each day! She is amazing (not to mention adorable)!

Too cute for words.

Rocco had fun showing Mr. Roy the computer his grandmother got for him.

Here are the boys looking for animals we might find down by the pond.

Parker loved playing with the activity gym.

Andrew and Isabelle. She kept calling him "baby".

May's Theme-Down By the Pond!

Just a quick update to let you know what our themes are for the months of May and June. For the rest of this month, we will be enjoying a pond theme with further discussion each week on certain animals usually found down by the pond. Next month's theme will be Bugs and Insects! I'm sure the children will have lots of fun!

More pictures and posts will be coming shortly. Last week was a shorter week with some of the children being sick. I didn't really have the camera out. Sorry! Stay tuned for new pictures soon!

Pictures of Parker!

She has the most beautiful smile!

Oh my! Where have the days gone? Guess I'm a little behind in my blogging! So very sorry to all who have been waiting for an update and new pictures.

First of all, here are a couple of new pictures of Parker. Each day she is here, I'm learning a little more about her personality. She is starting to settle into a little more of a routine now too. This last week she was trying so hard to talk and it was so cute!
Here is little Princess Parker as she naps. She loves her thumb!

Well, this last week of April we wrapped up our month-long theme on the weather. We talked about the changing weather during the different seasons. Alex and Rocco enjoyed making their Signs of the Seasons banners.

Kiera was able to come over for a visit this last week!

Rocco enjoyed playing hockey with Andrew.

Rocco (with a new hair cut) enjoyed playing Blue's Clues on the Fisher Price Power Touch system.
