Welcome Baby Parker!

This last week we welcomed little Parker Grace to our day care family! Beautiful little Parker is Caden's little sister and cousin to Kiera and Rocco. Caden will be back with us during summer vacation. I'm beginning to think maybe I should change the name of my day care to the "Wall Family and Friends Day Care"!

It's so cute how she sticks out her tongue when she smiles.

Our theme for the week was cloudy/rainy days. The weather cooperated and we had a day and a half of cloudy/rainy days. The children were fascinated to discover worms in the puddles after the rain. They looked so cute all huddled around the curb together and counting the worms. It was a Kodak moment. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me to capture the moment. Sorry!

Here is Rocco is playing the raindrop game.

Rocco and Alex had fun making their rain cloud mobiles.

Cute little Kiera. Those big blue eyes and long lashes=adorable!

Kite Flying!

Once again, I'm almost a week behind in updating the blog. Sorry!

Last week our weather-related theme was all about the wind. Kites fit nicely with that theme and so we made our own kites, decorated them, and then took them down to the park to try them out.

The two boys had a lot of fun with them on the way down to the park (in the outer field area).

As soon as we made it to the actual park area though, the kites were immediately dropped on the ground and temporarily forgotten about while they played on the park equipment.

The weather was beautiful so we stayed there and played for quite awhile.

On our way back home, the boys decided to run the bases on the baseball field with their kites. The wind had really started to pick up by then and they had them flying pretty good over there for a little bit.

The challenge for them was to run with their kites and keep their arms up in the air. That part was forgotten most of the time and I had to keep reminding them to keep their arm in the air.

I think thay had lots of fun regardless though!

Nice hair Shelby! :) That darn static cling from those big plastic toys!

Bounce House (& Happy Easter)

Sorry that this is being posted so late again. It's been quite busy for me these last couple of weeks with Andrew's deadline for his big report for school and getting ready for the big Easter weekend which was hosted for both sides of the families here at our house. Wow! I'm so glad both of those things are now completed!

It was a short week here since I was closed on Friday. It was wonderful to have the older children home from school since they were enjoying Spring Break. A whole week off from school!!! Shelby and Andrew kept busy with an Easter sticker picture during quiet time on Wednesday.

The weather was beautiful and we even hit our first 80 degree day of the year! It was the perfect week to try out the new bounce house. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

I think these two had the most fun of all! So silly!

Best friends!

Action shot of Alex and Rocco!

Drew and Luke were also here for several hours on Thursday. They enjoyed jumping and bouncing too.

Action shot of Drew and Luke-

Kiera loved watching the kids in action!

Thursday afternoon the arts & crafts project was a Easter basket that the children made with colorful tissue paper. They looked so pretty! Everyone went home on Thursday with a special Easter goodie bag from Miss Margaret.

During the month of April, our theme will be The Weather. We will be talking about the different types of weather each week (sunshine, cloudy, windy, and rainy). This week it's all about the wind. I'm hoping to get down to the park with Alex and Rocco today to fly our homemade kites!!!
