Summer is finally here! Things are getting quite busy around here. School is out for the summer and that means some of our school-aged children will be back with us once again! Yay! Shelby will be back and so will Caden. Even Madi will be back with us several times. Some of my nieces and nephews will be visiting on and off too.
The biggest change around here though is in the form of our smallest new arrival. Baby Maggie has officially joined us! She is such a tiny, precious little one! We are adjusting to having Maggie here and starting to establish some sort of schedule for her. Parker is very interested in Maggie so far and is starting to realize I can't always hold whenever she wants the way I used to. So, I make sure we get lots of snuggle and together time in whenever Maggie is napping. Maggie will be here Tuesday through Friday's. Welcome Maggie! I'm so happy she is here and look forward to caring for her and watching her grow and learn! (I will have pictures of Maggie in the next blog update).
The second half of May was just as busy as the first and once again, there were a lot of pictures taken of all of the children. So, here you go, Here are the rest of the pictures from May!
Way back on May 17th, Livy and Parker spent the day together. It was warm and beautiful (it looks funny to see the children in jackets now that it's finally gotten hot outside!) so we took advantage of it by going for a walk.

After our walk, they enjoyed playing on the slide for a bit.
Later that afternoon, Parker learned how to climb up the back of the slide, sit down and slide down all by herself! She was so proud of herself! I couldn't resist putting the bonnet on her (Mamah would be so proud!).

On May 19th, we had Parker, Alex and Jackson here. The three of them had fun playing with the Little People house in the morning.

Later that afternoon while Parker was taking her nap, a city worker was out flushing the fire hydrants water lines. The two boys really enjoyed watching that! It was a nice, unexpected learning lesson for them. We talked about fire hydrants and why they are important to have around.

On Friday, the 20th, it was girl's day with just Parker and me hanging out together.

That afternoon when Parker was being picked up, Maggie (and her mother) stopped by also and we got to meet Maggie for the first time! She was so tiny! Parker loved seeing the baby.

On Tuesday the 24th, Livy and Parker got to enjoy another play date. Those two girls sure know how to have fun with each other!

On Wednesday the 25th, Rocco got to come over for most of the day. It was nice for him and Alex to spend some time together again. They really miss playing with each other.

After getting permission from Rocco's grandmother, we got to take an unexpected field trip---to McDonald's!

Thursday, May 26th was another beautiful day. Alex and Parker got to spend part of the day at the park. They had a lot of fun! Parker LOVED the swings!

Later that afternoon Parker had fun playing on a riding toy that was just her size. She loved it!

Finally, on Tuesday the 31st, we had visits from Jackson, Livy and Baylee. Jackson and Baylee are best buddies so they were happy to be able to spend some time together that morning.

| The end of a perfect day! |
That's it for now. There were a lot of pictures again this time, don't you think? Both my days and nights have been very busy for me these last two weeks. I've had two big continuing education classes for child care this last week alone! I'm planning on getting the pictures for June edited and posted this next week. Now that Maggie is here I haven't been able to take as many pictures as I usually do. It's hard to take pictures when you've got a baby in your arms! I have managed to get a few good ones though so be sure to check back sometime next week!
We will be spending more time outside (whenever possible) now that summer is (finally) here.
Please remember to send along:
1. Tennis shoes and socks (for when we go to the park).
2 .Sunscreen (preferably the spray-on kind)
3. Bug spray
4. A spare outfit--even for the older children (including socks and underwear). We've had a couple
of accidents recently and you just never know what will happen (or when). THANK YOU!!!
